We use a pair of these for each bird. http://www.coollcd.com/quick-release-cool-railblock-15mm_p1097.html You need the open clamps other wise its not a quick release. Downside is that they are bloody heavy. These are mounted to a plate with vibration dampers. The bottom plate of the copter uses two 15mm rails hung with Tarot rod holders.
REMINDER: You need to have enough clearance to swing the ratchet 360 hence using the block versus single ratchets. So either use this little brick or stand off your singles.
