Looking for insurance... (based in USA)

I'm looking for insurance for my aerial photography business. I've found a company that will do liability, but they don't cover equipment (despite the fact that they claim to on their website).

Can anyone suggest a company in the U.S. that will give me a policy for liability and equipment?

Thanks,
Benjamin Rowland

Here's my advice to folks looking for insurance in the USA - hop in your car and go talk to some local insurance brokers. You'll find better coverage, at a better rate, and personal service.

I ended up with liability and $20k in equipment coverage for $723 - all from a company that has been around a very long time. Got the deal through a local insurance broker.

Who is the carrier for you insurance? Not the agent. Would like to see if my agent can get something from the same company.

Thanks

my experience, gear insurance is good for one claim only then you will be dropped - so just make sure you have a worthwhile claim if you decide to use it! This goes for land based gear as well.

aerialpak is a rip-off. like ben said, get in your car and go visit a few local brokers. some will think you're crazy but when you find the right person you'll get a lot of coverage for half of what aerialpak costs.

aerialpak is way more expensive than it needs to be. i've got a car plus my helis on my comm insurance.

that's what i thought too especially after making a claim just months after securing the coverage. i'm still with them though and the claim enabled me to keep going after a significant crash early on.
