Kloner, your Suppo motors

Hows the efficiency compared to 22mm 900kv's?

Are you running the 30a opto esc's? The motor is 35a that's why I ask.

Would I be a lot happier with the suppo compared to the 22mm tigers?

the ones i run are 28mm suppo. they carry alot more weight, fly better in wind but there power hungy pigs. i had to prop it back so it quit trying to rip itself apart but once i found it's sweet spot, naza was happy, disco was happy, kloner was happy. However almost everybody when talks about motors likes longer flight times. i'd say in that case 22mm anything will last longer but also wouldn't fly as fast.

the other problem is they don't have a multi rotor prop shaft so you gotta improvise. Because of that i'm building a new disco with the leopard 2814 930kv motors. I love how they are on my xy-8 in a lower kv, rated for 500 watts and up to 5 or 6s

yeah. 28's are way too much. I have a temp solution for the gear, i can send you a pair. Funny how making folding gear has been the hardest part of this project. Flies great though!

hahahaha, listen to them things, no oscilating, no weird behaviour, just so big on a dji arm that when the slightest problem comes along, naza hates it and does some fancy things. they all bo, but a 28mm is sooner in the breakdown phase to go nazanitsown than a 22mm

Kloner,

You said the suppo's don't come with a multi rotor prop shaft. What exactly what I have to do to get them to work with graupners?

I'm going to order four of them for the hell of it. They're cheap enough. I searched google for leopard 2814-930kv and couldn't find anything.

those leopards are bad to the bone and smooth, but there 2814 kinda motors

30 amp is perfect, 4s and 8" prop

hovers fine, wont haul but without oscilating. 8" hover pefect and won't oscilate...... it's like you hold em back and they behave... any motor/prop has it's line

everything you've seen me fly was 8" props on discos

Well I ordered those monsters. Should be here in a few days.

How do these bigger motors affect gains? Would I be able to keep the same starting point that I'm using with the 2216 900kvs?

also ordered that lawmate combo.

just start with what you got now, i would think you would change em, but i'm thinking you'll see pretty fast if that's the case. loose, turn up the gain, high speed oscilation, turn it down

lawmate 2.4 is the best. if your gonna fly around other people using futaba, spek and hitec you'll most likely want to pick the glue out. pm me for details. you want to use ch5 or 8... if not around other 2.4 radios, leave it alone

On them motors, put them on and spin them up, if theres much any noise, feel around for vibes running. turn the prop adapters on any that shake to the point you know its on. dialed in it feels like nothing is turned on without props.... from there, run em. usually the firt thing people notice with the bigger motors is the lack of runtime. They do eat more power. there heavier so just lifting themselves goes up and amp or two draw. but man, put that thing out in a hover on a windy day and it should lock in like a spaceship

Got the lawmate combo today. Looks like I got the unlocked version. It's doesnt have any glue on the channel switch. Also has a second heat sink on it...not sure if they do that when its "tuned".

I don't fly (yet) with anyone. Should I keep it on Ch1 or just put it on 5 or 8? Does a particular Ch work better than the others?
