There are a lot of individuals being asked by running clubs to do aerial video work to promote their running clubs. The participants, organizers and public love it. I see many using the Phantom for that.
A small and light Phantom presents enough risk let alone anything heavier...... Hovering over a crowd is really stupid IMHO.

I actually had a guy contact me looking for filming services. I said OK, but it'll take a while because I have to apply for an SFOC which takes weeks, etc. He responded basically "Ok, thanks but, I'm just looking for some guy with a Phantom to do it under the table."
There's going to be a lot of this going forward if the authorities don't make the process more acceptable.
