IOS Ground station altitude

Hi,

Im using the DJI IOS ground station and something strange is happening. When I set a series of waypoints it climbs to the correct high for the first waypoint but then always seems to drop down (just above the ground!) heading towards the next waypoint?!?!

I can't see what the issue is because I set all the waypoint to the same altitude of 10m...

Could it be something to do with the GPS datum or is altitude measure above your home point?

Hi Rich. Quick caveat, my knowledge spans from the PC version of the GS and not the latter IOS version so I could be well off here. It looks like you have altitude rather than height as the way the GS calculates the waypoints. If you are using Altitude, especially over water, it can cause some interesting flight paths due to how the GS calculates altitude above sea level! Using height along with the correctly calculated offset and you should be golden.

I tried it again and all seemed to work well this time. Ill need to check but I don't think it uses GPS altitude...
