Inexpensive Hobbyking FPV set...any reviews?

Hi folks,

My son's 10 yr old friend was over the other day and I had them riding along as I flew by wearing fatsharks.....they loved it and today my son's friend asked about the following kit from Hobbyking

I think he either wants to put it on an RC truck or foamie that he has.

Has anyone tried the kit? Anything to say about it good or bad?

There's a 140 page thread on it on rcgroups. It seems to be ok for what it is, I was thinking of getting a set for my kids to play with when they are out with me.

thanks. i don't generally do RCgroups, too much drama
for $100 bucks it ought to be ok for a 10 yr old to get started with.

I have a few fantastic builders who I follow on the airplane side there as well as a nice Canadian FPV thread. I also monitor the used section for good deals. Other then that I don't look at the multirotor stuff there as the threads tend to get big fast and finding the info you need is well.

All the reviews seem alright on the HK site as well.
I'd like my son (8) to fly his champ FPV this spring
