As I saw this forum coming by multiple times, I thought it would be nice to register here.
I am 20 years old and I am from holland.
I have been in the RC hobby for 1 year now just flying heli's. Nowadays I own a trex 450 and a protos 500.
I want to expand my fleet with a hexacopter for AP. Next to my study I want to built one to use it professionally.
Right now thinking over my design, where to put everything and drawing it in autoCAD to get it CNC-ed. I only need to find out how the herkules boards needs te be connected, what needs to be soldered etc. and how I assemble the av130 to the frame since it is developed for droidworks frame. What thickness I take for the frame plates and where to get the carbon sheets (the cheapest) in Europe (so any option would be great).
Setup will be:
Self made frame (motor to motor 75cm)
DJI wookong
AV130
Sony nex 5N
Herkules power boards
avroto 770kv
Immersion 5,8ghz video downlink.
Graupner MX20 with telemetry
Hoping to learn a lot and have fun.
