For anyone in the UK is looking for a cheapo laptop for MR configuration duities…
I have an IBM/Lenovo X41 ThinkPad up for grabs - with power adaptor and battery.
It's it a two part affair - laptop and clip-on docking/additional port station.
In laptop only state it's very thin and lightweight - obviously NOT macbook air thin - and easy to slip into a back pack.
Only ever been used for configuring robots and multirotors.
I've added as much RAM as it can take, it's got wireless networking and it runs Windows XPsp3.
In laptop only mode it has USB, networking, mic, headphone and SDCard slots, the docking station adds more usb slots, and various parallel/serial connectors.
DOES NOT come with an optical drive, but the docking station has a bay for one - which i imagine can be picked up cheap online if required.
Has to be worth £160 including postage to someone?
