How do these gain settings look?

First off, a little background.

A little over a year ago, I picked up an F550 w/Naza and GPS RTF with a DX6i

Having never flown one of these things before, I figured I'd be better off getting an RTF with easy to fly settings already programmed in :black_eyed:

It's been over a year and I've been flying with very little issue.

I've been using the same settings since the build and have never even plugged it in to use the Naza Assistant (actually, I was a bit afraid to after reading countless threads of people crashing after updating firmware)

Then a few weeks back, I had a problem with the motors not starting up.

Turned out to be a bad throttle pot on my DX6i (Spektrum had a recall for this)

Sent it back to Horizon and they repaired it free of charge.

As soon as I got it back, the motors started without issue and I was ready to take flight again (or so I thought)

I didn't bother to re-calibrate the controls and ended up crashing after take-off :(

No big damage, just snapped the antenna mount, busted all the props and took a small chunk out of my arm :upset:

Anyways, I was now forced to plug in and it took a while before I could find an old Naza assistant version, but I was finally able to connect last night.

These are the gain settings popped up:

Are these the same settings that it was originally programmed with or sumthin the Assistant uses as a default?

My original settings were very easy to fly and stable (I could gun it in any direction without flipping and it would always stabilize, even when I lost a motor due to a bad solder joint)

I re-calibrated the controls, did the Naza dance to calibrate the compass and everything seems to work fine on the bench without props, but I want to confirm the settings before taking flight again.:cold:

Mr take no prisoners!
Yes, what are you using it in and have you looked at the settings in the manual, that would be where I would start.

OK, installed some old plastic props this morning for a short test flight and all went well given the windy conditions :)

GPS acquired quickly and I was able to go full stick in all directions and land without issue

Didn't try ATT or RTH yet, but I'm currently balancing a fresh set of carbon props and gunna wait for better conditions for my next flight....

personally i always test all functions before putting on a good set of props. nothing will make you madder than having a tip over or a problem with the good spiny things mounted.
