HobbyKing flight controller V3....any good?

Bartman

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Is anyone flying one of these? I was asked if it's any good for a beginner but I've never tried one. I'd guess it's a clone of the KK board?

Thanks,
Bart

Anyone?

Maybe the KK2 controller would be a better choice? It's $29 from Hobbyking, where else do they sell/support these?

Thanks,
Bart

I would go KK2 for sure. Much better and easier to setup. Old boards are Gyro only as well I believe.
HK is the only one selling them directly, some re-sellers I think carry a few but not officially.

great, thanks for the info. are you flying the KK2 board? it's different from a Multiwii controller, right? I'm clueless on these controllers but it looks like I"m going to pick up a KK2 for a fun quad. If the KK2 is different then there should be a KK flight controls forum in the main area.

Thanks,

Yes I have it on a couple quads. yes different than multiwii, its really an updated version of the old KK boards, but has the LCD so you can do all the setup and PID tuning, etc without a PC right on the board.

THanks for the info. I'm going to order one and give it a try on an XY4 fun quad I'm flying.
