Hobbico Ora Aerial Photography and FPV Quadcopter

Among many of the things I have been mulling over these last few months (new builds, FC's, etc.), is also the possible purchase of a RTF just for the fun of it and to get me started in FPV the "easy" way. I was thinking about the Yuneec Q500, but the deal breaker for me is that the FPV signal is a WiFi connection, NOT radio. So I'm still on the fence with that one.

I saw this video yesterday from those goofs over at Roswell Flight Test Crew, talking with the head of Hobbico about their soon-t0-be-released Ora FPV quadcopter. Here's the link:

Anyone have any thoughts on this beast? I gotta believe it's gonna cost way more than the $1300 Q500.

Gary,

If you're friendly with a hobby shop that's also a Hobbico/Tower Hobbies dealer you might ask them if they have the MSRP available yet.

I haven't found anyone here in Spain (yet) that distributes for Hobbico. A Google search turned up that Hobbico bought Revell GmbH in Germany, but nothing related to MR's turns up. We're always several months (or years) behind the U.S!

A friend owns a hobby shop. I'll look into it and get back to you.

Update; the pricing info may not be out yet. The dealer I spoke to could not find anything on it. He did say the FPV version of the Ominous will be listed at $199.99 but no info on the Ora. He'll be speaking with the distributor next week so hang tight.
