High amp power distribution board

I found a high amp Power Distribution Board on the Internet recently but have since lost the website. It consisted of two boards (one negative and one positive) one above the other separated by stand-offs. The leads from the esc's plugged into the board with 4mm banana plugs not soldered and I think it was rated for 200amps and could cater for 8 motors.

Anyone seen anything that fits this spec?

It must be the power hungry board you have seen.

I love it and makes a clean installation.

Kopterworx have them.

Yes, a piece of copper with holes drilled in it and wires soldered onto it not to mention it would handle 500A+++@14.8V depending on the thickness and be less then a few dollars if you found scrap, aluminum would be lighter and almost as good. A piece of silver would be even better but all are overkill. Who's pulls 200 or 400 amps and on what? What do you need a $275 power board for? :D

I liked the design but hadn't looked at the price.........Forget it! You are right, the multi rotor buyer is being ripped off in lots of areas. I shall make my own! Brass should be ok don't you think?

Did you find a a good power board with a high amps "certification" like the 300$ one ... and the droidworx for the price of the multiwii ? I also would like something higher than 200 amps. My motor are 32 amps each ... and I have 6 of them, and want something safe... actually I have a hobbyking it's rated for 60 amps, it's working but one day it will cause trouble...

Build your own, at that point you can just build your own for a couple dollars if not free. Grab a piece of scrap aluminum and drill some holes in it, make connections to that for positive and make another separate aluminum board one for negative connections. Separate them so they cannot touch ever. A piece of 1/4" thick aluminum will flow 1000A+++ so don't go buy some hyped up piece of aluminum or copper they drilled holes in for you for $200+++ dollars.

Did you ever try to solder anything onto aluminium.......????

If DIY, then only copper....

The point being the same exact thing but do what works for you. Use a hunk of gold if you want, probably cheaper then the "certified" board you're looking at lol...

Check out YouTube. The basic concept is that you have a piece of conductive metal, you put holes in it and attach your wiring to the plate. You use a separate plate for positive and negative and never let them touch. A piece of scrap metal will flow all kinds of power :)

The highest electrical conductivity is Silver: σ in S/m 61,39 · 10[SUP]6[/SUP]
next highest is Copper: σ in S/m 58,0 · 10[SUP]6[/SUP]
pretty low is Brass: σ in S/m 15,5 · 10[SUP]6[/SUP]


....the difference in price between Copper and Brass is next to nothing concerning the weight needed.
