Just getting into Quad's. Lost one on a flyway. Got a new one now. Would like to know if you can put any drone camera on any drone. Is the voltage the same? Attaching it is no prob.

short answer is no. If you just want to put a small camera on it to record your flight you can just use the battery that normally supplies the camera. If you are looking to put a small FPV camera that sends its live video signal back to you on the ground it may vary. Some FPV transmitters have 5vdc out to supply the fpv camera and most fpv cameras will work on that voltage but you have to be sure of everything before you spend your money. As you look around you will see that a lot of web sites provide all the specs on what your buying so you will know.

what he said is correct! most of the little cameras used to beam video back to us on the ground will be something between 5 and 12 volts, 5 is probably most common. more of the video transmitters, OSD boards, and even the little power distribution boards are now providing 5v and 12v DC outputs for cameras but like @John Doecliff said, look at what you're going to buy and match up the ins and outs of voltage requirements before buying anything.

if you just want to record then slap a Legend/RunCam/Mobius on there and fly fly fly
