Hi Dave, yet another Dave becomes an MR addict ;)

I looked at the easy star some months ago, then everyone jumped on the flying wing jobbies after watching Trappys exploits ;) I think an EDF is the way to go, low & fast....I use an SU26 for FPV & my octo has a DX201 camera incase I need it...to scared to try to be honest with you.

You will find some seriously talented people on here, I'm sure you will always get an answer to a question.

Regards
Ross

Hi ,Dave thanks for the welcome , i haven't flown the easystar yet ,I will fly it with no gear first , I 've got Fatshark dominator 5.8 vid tx ,Gopro ,+ Pixim Sea wolf 690 HTV ,got to chose which to go with! But I think the way forward is Quad !
My club dosn't like the idear of FPV ,so cannot use the flying patch even with FPV.UK insurance ,but with quad you don't need a field .I also have edf's ,may be a bit fast for FPV ,I would love to see it though.
Regards
Dave

Sorry mate, I think I confused you by mentioning 2 Daves in the same sentence ;) ;) ;) Name is Ross.
The quads I have seen to seem to be very stable, an added advantage with FPV...but my phase 3 F16 is screaming out for a small FPV setup...I will try it later in the year as my F16 is a bit tatty, so nif it crashed I will pout my bottom lip & the Mrs will feel sorry for me breaking one of ym toys & give me permission to get another ;)
Most clubs dont like FPV users, they prefer the Ben Buckle brigade...that's certainly true of Devon ;)

I see you're from Chatham...is that anywhere near chatham pocket ;)

Regards
Ross

Hi Ross ,sorry about the name thing ! I have an Alph jet like that ,it's been repaired more times than the M25 still fly's, Chatham pocket? never heard of it ,I'm in a place called Walderslade , between Chatham and Maidstone ,
a lot of clubs will not reconise FPV they say it's too dangerous , but they are happy with night flying in a crowded field 100+ on November 5th ,what happens if the lights go out!!!!!
