Hello to all
I just joined, I'm originally from Scotland (too bl***dy cold there brrr) but I live, work & play in Bangkok
Just getting into multi rotors, I saw the MK's when they started up, but I felt the price too much and I felt that the *after care* from the owners somewhat lacking to say the least.
So I never pursued the idea of a multi rotor airframe, I come from a R/C helicopter background first flying (well more crashing than flying) with a MFA sport 500 in 1989
On to a Morley Bell 47G, concept 30's, (c)raptors and too much money spent in between to my present stable of a Align T-Rex 600/450 a Hirobo Sceadu50 and a few coaxial indoor chinese cheapos to play with inside...
But now the multi rotor bug has surfaced again and its an itch I need to scratch !!!
so not content with one I have a few ideas on the go
Bought a Gaui 330 (hmmmmm no further comment)
currently building a small quad using an "all-in-one" that is a Multi-wii board from Poland "sexycopters" site, im in the throws of designing the frame, but trying to obtain G10/FR4 in Thailand is proving to be a mission !!
I also have a KK+ 5.5D board that just wants to be mine !! I bought it on a spur of the moment thing... originally to do a cheapo quad, but found it did'nt have the auto level feature as I want to eventually do a hexa frame with a FP setup, so as this board has six motor outputs I went for it.
But after finding out the board doesn't auto level I sold it !! three times first two buyers promised to pay and didnt !! third seller paid, but the post office sent the board back to me after a week, so at this point, I contacted the seller, explaining the situation, he decided he wanted his money, so that done.
I thought this bloody thing wants to be flown by me, I better just do it !! so I'm in the middle of designing a hexa frame for it along the lines of the flyduspider from flydunio, but as customs are death on ex-pats here, importing parts is a no no.
I want the hexa to be a test bed for my eventual product of a DJI FC with a my Nikon D90 slug below it !!!
So that's my addiction (and reason im skint) explained..
So hi from me, I hope I can connect with like minded terminally ill addicts here !!
Kindest Regards
Mark
