My name is Oceanne. Me and my GF started a studio called ClickAway. We are specialising in wedding photography. Now we are in the 3rd year of successful operations. We are planning to buy a multi rotor for aerial shooting purposes. Please suggest affordable and durable UAVs with service support in Dubai

I've never understood the desire to use multi rotors in wedding photography other than as a marketing gimmick or fad. While shooting from multi rotors is becoming easier by the day and wedding photography aerial shots don't need to be the highest of quality, it's still a discrete set of skills that requires a lot of time and money. Why not use a boom, pole or cherry picker if a high angle is required?

Having said all this, 3DR is now claiming that their copters will have cinema logic embedded that will allow the copter to know what angle to shoot at and how to pan automatically etc. Shouldn't be long before photographers are old fashioned and the technology will do it all automatically.

I'm so old now that I can remember where we wouldn't even dream of using a 35mm camera professionally (for weddings that is) and auto focus was something we all laughed about. So maybe I'm just an old fart.

Regardless congratulations for being successful over the past 3 years in such a tough market and keeping an open mind for using new technologies. Let us know how you go.

i think aerials are a great add-on for a successful wedding videographer or photographer, it's a different way to catch views of the day plus it adds a little excitement to the event having the heli in the air at times.

affordable, durable, service in Dubai....not sure where to begin with those questions. I'd suggest you browse the threads in the beginner area first.

have you ever flown anything radio controlled? have any hobby type building skills? ever solder two wires together?

if the answers are no, no, no then you might want to consider learning or just going the ready-to-fly route, there are a lot of options.
