Hi All,
I am a mining engineer living and working in Cornwall, UK. This means I get to play with big boys toys some of which are Remotely Controlled.
I flew large gliders or sailplanes when I was a kid some of which were RC.
I bought a hex F550 about a month or so ago and I am gradually learning to fly, which is similar to learning to drive in that things can get out of control quickly ! It will get used for AP so that I can film parts of Cornwall before they disappear under the hammer of redevelopment and various historical sites.
I am an active member of a mining forum where I have been able to share some of my 20+ years of experience with those who are setting out, now I have joined this forum, the boot is on the other foot. As a noob I will listen, and learn, hopefully not ask to many daft questions, but we all have to start somewhere. To those who might answer some of my questions, please remember you were once in the same position as me.
Many thanks to all the great post, its really good fun reading up on what everyone flies and builds.
All the best
Keith (agricola)
