Greetings!
I am new to multi rotors and am writing to seek advice for a great first multi rotor to purchase.
What was your first experience. What advise do you have for someone new to this exciting hobby?
I am looking for something easy to fly with good stability.

Hotel Papa,
Welcome to the site. The DJI Naza flight controller is a popular starter as is the OpenPilot Copter Control. There will be lots of opinions and advice offered so get ready to start processing information!
Good luck and welcome to the site.

XAircraft has a popular quad for beginners but the Naza seems to have taken over with its available flamewheel frame and ARF motor/props kit. If you want a challenge and an opportunity to really get a quick education, buy a frame and controller separate and spec your own motors, motor controllers (aka ESC's or BL's), and props and then figure out how to wire it. You'll be pretty well versed by the time it flies.

Many thanks.
I was actually considering the XAircraft 450X as my entry into the hobby.
I will take a harder look at the flamewheel set up.
I have been told that the Futaba T8FG is a good radio too.

generally speaking, Futaba works great with the DJI equipment and JR/Spektrum, Graupner, and Jeti work well with Mikrokopter. There are ways to go about things different from this but it doesn't hurt to know it up front. XAircraft and many of the other flight controllers can go either way.

Where in TN are you? I'm about an hour west of Nashville.

I started with a www.quadframe.com frame and a Warthox MultiWii board but I recently purchased a Naza and Flamewheel to go with it.

Thnx Bartman.
I am thinking about going with the 450 flamewheel. Prob gonna get the RtF kit from DJI with a Futaba radio.
Ultimately I would like to drop a GoPro camera on the frame and get some great photos.

I'm an hour south of Murfreesboro. Keep me posted on your flamewheel experience.

Will do. I fly with a bunch of guys in Smyrna sometimes. One other guy is into FPV and is just getting into quadcopters as well. Maybe one of these days we'll run into each other.
