I'm working in Shenzhen next week and would like to do some shopping for Multi rotor any suggestions where to go? I'm was planning on going to SEG Electronics Market. Are there any places that sell parts there?

Also, any suggestions on things I should look for there that are normally not available in the US?

I have been in China about 13 years now in the Shanghai area. Although there are some shops around I do not find that they are that competitive. The main place I buy my gear is Taobao.com (think ebay on steroids) .

If you can get some one with an account to buy what you need and get it sent to your hotel, normally delivery time is within a few days.

I think that for ANY shopping in Shenzhen, you really need to know your prices. When I've shopped for electronics in the past, even regular shops would give an outrageous price with a very straight face. When challenged with a realistic market price, they will give it to you without a problem; but if you don't do your homework, then you will be overpaying for sure. I do agree that you probably won't get regular brand name stuff any cheaper, and if you're buying non brand names you will have to watch the quality.

Enjoy your trip ;)

The way things look on the internet you should be able to get stuff anywhere.
You know, at the dry cleaners, drug stores, Proctologist office. I bet they all sell electronics.

Don´t waste your time in China with hunting for multirotor-shops, you will have to bring them home (declare customs) that you also can do anytime at home via internet. There is a lot more to see/experience/do/... in China (in any area) in your spare time.

best regards
