Head Lock Gyro

Have anyone tried this on a Quad?

I have one spare and was considering worth trying. Just for fun.
But before creating potential disaster I would like to hear if anyone already tried?

As far as my knowledge extends, every quad FC has at least 3 gyros already, and their job is exactly that. What would be point of adding an external one? And how would you connect it? The quad uses all 4 motors to turn and keep hold of the heading, you will have to route all ESCs through that gyro to make it work, which is exactly the job the FC does.

Not really true. Gyros in Quad is rate gyro and not HL type.
The idea was to connect between receiver and FC only on one line.

It should result in a more steady heading unless it will go completelly mad. I have seen HL is being used on camera rig for steady shot. But for FPV I see the benefit of having entire Quad on a steady heading.
