Neatly arranged packaging. I bought the whole set from Gryphon Korea directly and they were very helpful and very quick to respond to questions.

Starting build with motors. Lot of screws. Lots of threadlock.

Arms complete. I am not planning to mount the ESCs in the carbon arms. Quality of components so far outstanding!

Z shaped arms are so smart. The biggest issue for X8 setup has been the props getting into the camera view for me. This is solved with Z shaped boom. Very nice.

There has been multiple sync issues with those motors! The only ESC that works is T-motor. Check out Kloners posts.

Built GD Hex last month to haul a GH4- Ive got about 12 hours flight time on it now and I absolutely love that frame - I love it so much Im going to build a coax octo this month - FLtundra is absolutely correct - if I were using those motors the only ESC id use is the T-Motor ESC. Enjoy the build!!! Such a quality frame.

On the ESCs, they were recommended by Gryphon Dynamics who also are flying those on their models...?
Build goes ok so far but requires good planning for placement of the electronics.

I would only go T-motor and nothing else, not worth the risk.:tennis: The 420 kv's have issues.

Finished with the electrical part. I just miss a XT60 connector to fix the power distribution board to the bottom frame.
I opted not to use PCB board in the arms but run wires - I found arms are much easier to assemble and lock as the wires have some free space to move.
No issue with build - all parts very good quality. I had parts which were incorrect - Gryphon immediately sent me the correct ones.

I'm loving this build, and really impressed with the quality of the Gryphon frame - it's outstanding!

I went for a Vulcan frame myself because of the 'mantis' arms. I was looking at the Gryphon, but didn't realise they were doing their Z arms. Those carbon arms are spectacular. I had so much trouble trying to wire and fix the vulcan arms, because all the fixings go through them - you have to be super careful with the X8, as the arm profile is pretty much full of wires.
