GPS Exporter

I have issues with this "innovation" from DJI.

It says to use assistant software to copy out DAT file. How to copy out a DAT file from Wookong Assistant software?

Does anybody know how this works?

You use the OSD's assistant, I was scratching my head a first as well. Go into data view mode, but don't bother using the GPS Exporter to load from the OSD (OSD's assistant in view mode makes the osd basically a external disk). You'll see the OSD as a drive on your computer, just copy your dat files to you HD. Then load the dat from you HD with the GPS exporter. Be warned, there's no time stamp though... Pretty hard to sync you photos without it.

So you are saying that GPSExporter is a tool for iOSD and not for the DJI groundstation? Well well... I tought that DJI had come into their senses and provided a way to read the groundstation Log (DAT) files.

Well, the GPS Exporter is so you can make use of the files from the OSD but not until you use the Data view function in the iOSD assistant lol! Can it get any more convoluted? My APM 2.5 stores the flight log on both the autopilot and the ground station, you can use either. Not only that, but it merges the gps data with your photos all within the ground station software. All this for a $170 autopilot with unlimited waypoints, even built in photogrammetry grids. Another $200 get you a diversity modem set with a 40km range... I wish DJI would look at some of these GCS functions and add it to the WKm waypoint system.

From my quick calculations I did from some data I captured, it appears to be 60Hz data. I can't say that with 100% certainty. Later today I'll try to do a more exact test, unless you figure it out before and post what you find out.
