GPS degradation and autoswitching to Atti mode on WKM

I trying to get clear in my head the consequence of a degrading GPS signal with respect to flight mode and fail-safe on the WKM.

At what point will the WKM automatically switch from GPS to Atti mode? Am I right in thinking it is when the number of locked satellites is 5 or lower (i.e. 2 or 3 red LED blinks) or can it still fly in GPS mode with only 5 locekd satellites?

Is this also the point at which the fail-safe will cease to function?

I believe in the manual it mentions 6 satellites as the minimum for failsafe. I think. To be honest I have never had less than 7 except flying indoors (of course) and when I was right next to some buildings down in a valley. I just walked away from the buildings and got 7.

It is fine to fly in GPS with only a few satellites locked. WKM will just switch to atti mode it there's not enough.

Less than 6 or a total of 5 satellites will cause the copter to go into attitude mode.
