Does anyone know how accurate position the ublox gps is on the mk?

A couple of meters?

From what I understand it depends on number of Satellites and weather conditions. If there's no wind it can stay within a meter or so of it's position. If it's a windy day 3 meters from it's locked position.

I took my out for the first time and when we tried to lock on position hold it took off!!! We're trying to figure out why. Maybe we're missing a setting in MK Tools.

Yes that is true, but i like to know the accuracy of the gps sensor. Under ideal conditions.

Civilian GPS is generally acknowledged to be accurate to +/- 3 meters, all of my MK hold within that range.

if you're trying to hold a position over a known set of coordinates it will be within the civilian tolerances. once it finds the spot where it thinks it should be it can stay fixed there indefinitely if set up and flown correctly.
