Hi, I am a new-be into the world of quads. Built a hover flip from scratch using the naza m-lite for the control system. Program the quad and it does fly, but do not know how the gps system returns the quad home. My tx is a dx8 and Spectrum 6 channel rx. The gps, altitude and manual are on a three way switch (flaps). I have done calibration through the assistant. I have read that there are procedures for the dx7, but do not know if I need to follow those or similar ones for the dx8. I do get a blinking green light when battery is plugged in, then it goes to solid green. When I switch from gps to altitude (failsafe) it gors to tellow/orange and in manual there is now light. Not sure what other answers will help unless you ask. Thanks for any help.

Thank you for your help. The video will help.

One more question: is there a way to smooth out take offs? When I start motors they seem to be going at different speeds and cause a rocking back and forth. If I use radio to smooth out flight it will hoover, but getting to that point can be frusturating.....is it my gains?

Have you calibrated the throttle/ESCs? If you have done that already - then it's probably just the ground effect. It's best to pop it up so it gets at least a few feet off the ground quickly. This can make you a little nervous at first - but it gets you clear of the turbulence that can cause that rocking back and forth.

if it's wobbling in the air - clear of the ground effect - then this issue would most likely be your gains.
