Do you have them bound correctly. It sounds like you might have both receivers bound to the one transmitter.
Thanks for your reply Toymaker. Yes, they are both bound correctly and worked fine the day before. Maybe it is not interference but an issue with the WK-m but I am at a loss.
Here are the details of exactly what happened:
This model has flown flawlessly for the last year since I built it. It has been meticulously built; every component was brand new and has never been crashed. I have flown it with the gimbal in question fitted 2 times previously without a problem.
- Switched the Octo transmitter on which is a Futaba 14SG,
- Connected the flight packs of the Octo which are 2 x 4s 6100mah lipos. The flight packs power everything, the ESC’s (Maytech 40A Opto factory flashed with SimonK), motors (T-Motor 700KV), WK-M and iOSD via PMU, receiver (Futaba R7008SB - FASSTest) and DJI AVL58 5.8Ghz downlink transmitter.
- Powered up cameraman’s monitor and AVL58 5.8Ghz downlink receiver with 3 cell lipo.
- Noted that WK-M LED was flashing double blue flashes (GPS mode) and no red flashes.
- Switched on Cameraman’s transmitter which is a Futaba T9CP Super fitted with 2.4Ghz module. The camera mount has its own Futaba R617FS (FASST) receiver.
- Switched on camera mount (DD brushless) fitted with AlexMos 3 axis controller. This is powered from the main flight packs via a regulator stepping the voltage down to 12v.
- Switched camera on.
- Looked at monitor and confirmed 8 satellites and had picture.
- Tested pan to left about 30 degrees, paused for a second and then as soon as I started the pan to the right, one motor spun up on the Octo and flipped it onto its back. The motor had shut down either before it hit the ground or immediately it hit the ground it did not keep trying to chomp at the grass.
- I unplugged Octo main flight packs.
It sounded like only one motor that started up but it could have been more, it was all over before I turned round to see what was happening.
This is causing me some concern as the motors should not have powered up without me carrying out CSC.
