Futaba T10CHG with WooKong H

Silly old fart
Hi all
I realise this is a multirotor forum but I cannot find any other forum for DJI.

Maybe someone can help me.....................
Anyone know how to set "Failsafe" on Futaba 10 CHG to work with WooKong H???
I have tried so many ways to set this but each time I switch off the RX the assistant software says that I am still in whatever mode I was in before the switch.:upset:

The only difference I know of between Spektrum radios and Futaba is that the fail-safe is settable in the radio. on JR you do a bind with the radio in the position you want it to be in. On Futaba you can set it with parameters while it is on. as for the fail-safe switch, it shouldnt matter, just pick a switch and assign it to be off enough that it throws the flight mode position in the assistant in between the boxes and turns blue.

I don't know if WKH is the same as WKM, but for WKM failsafe to work with FASST, you must be in "multi" mode, not "7-channel" mode on the radio. Since 7-channel mode only has failsafe on the throttle channel, where as WKM needs failsafe on the aux channel (either 6 or 7). Then you basically set the failsafe on your TX to go to about 35% on that channel during failsafe.

Thanks for the help.
I checked that I am in "multi mode" (I am) I have my 3 way switch on ch7 (normal, alti hold & GPS) but if I try to do failsafe on that channel it messes up my 3 way settings.
It is like I need (impossible) a 4 way switch.

You said you switched off the RX to test failsafe, I think you mean switch off the TX right? The RX needs to be on to move that channel to the failsafe state once it doesn't receive signal from the TX.

Or are you referring to a separate switch to activate failsafe?

Sorry typo on my part (meant TX).
Still experimenting but no joy so far

It's actually very simple. I use channel 7 to switch modes, and all I had to do for failsafe is shown in the photo. Turning the TX off will switch this channel to 35%, which is the failsafe region.

Again this is for WKM, so it may or may not work for WKH.

Don´t know if it´s my age, my stupidity or just numb thumbs but when I set the end points for the 3 way mode switch ch7(all three modes are working) then go to "F/S" ch7 and change end point it throws out all my modes and nothing works right.

Maybe the silly old fart has found the problem. Quote from Wookong H user manual :-

"1 The Fail-Safe (Auto Hover or Level) will not be activated, until you’ve correctly Pre-set Transmitter Command StickCenter Position.
2 The Fail-Safe functions will not be working correctly if you have not finished the Auto Mode Test Flight. Please see
Autopilot Test Flight on Page 23 for details.
3 You must perform the following setting under Manual Mode.
4 If GPS signal reception is bad or you are using WKH Lite, auto level function will be triggered, but no position holding.
5 If you have already setup Fail-Safe successfully, then main rotor will start if you switch off Tx when your helicopter is
powered on."

Will give a go at the weekend

Did you find a solution for the failsafe? I have a T10CHP and have the same problem. Wookong-H

Thanks.

I'm using a T12FG and is using Ch7 (SE Switch) for flight mode. I noticed in Fail Safe, I cannot dial in the failsafe percentage... I can only program in one of 3 switch positions (in my case +80, 0, -80) for failsafe. I guess I can first adjust endpoint to 35%, go into Failsafe and set that 35% point in failsafe, then go back to endpoint to adjust back to +80 but is there a easier way to do it? Can the F/S Position percentage in failsafe be manually put in?
