Thread hijack!!!!
Just to answer your question as so as to not let this thread divert from my question....
I'd say its 70% common sense and everything you are tested on is in the handbook and covered over the two day course. If you put the time in and read the handbook a few times prior so as to get a understanding of the content and take in what your are told on the course you should be OK
I'd say the 'hardest' part is controlling your nerves when taking the test, you get 90mins to answer 60 questions so you cant hang about... I've not sat a test for 19yrs so my palms were a little clammy'!!
Of course that just covers your ground test... You then have to write your opporations manual which has to be approved by EuroUSC... Then you have a flight test based on that Ops manual. That is then submitted to the CAA (which is then hopefully approved)....
And yes, you can only commercially fly the UAV(s) you use in your flight test, an only you (not your company or staff) are approved by the CAA to fly commercially.
Hope that helps.
