Getting this done is whats stopped me from getting my photo done for the contest, now bottle copter is finished i can get back to the serious stuff
its been about 2-3 weeks worth of weekend building and testing
Finished machine has the centre of gravity 90 mm above the props
diferential thrust used to control roll, pitch and yaw done by motor tilt.
Pitch and roll are controlled like you would balance a broom on your hand, achieved by shifting the tilt
the bottle is a "Lemon and Paeroa" , an iconic drink in New Zealand, unfortunaetly now owned by Coke, so not a Kiwi company anymore
The town of Paeroa as about a 4 1/2 drive from me, and the town monument is a giant L&P bottle, so i need to put a new bottle on the bottle copter (one with a label
) , drive over there and film it flying around the monument ! should be good for a laugh
