Flight Times

Hi there,
just wondered if anyone could advise about my multi flight times.
On my fh800 frame I am running 6 x turnigy 485kv 22 pole motors with 15x5.5 carbon props.
flycolor 45a escs, naza v2, zenmuse h3 3d and small immersion video tx.
all up weight with 10000ma 6s is about 3.5g - not much.
flight times with 10000ma is about 5.5 mins
with 2 x 8500 is 6 mins
this seems short to me with not a large gimbal etc
It hovers nicely at about midstick, but I assume the naza sorts that out!
Any thoughts? ( this is during coldish weather, and the packs are quite new)
cheers

Check to see where your hover is in manual mode. This is important.

Flight time does seem low. Are you flying through 80% of your batteries?

Lower kv motors are best for flight time.

Also want to keep the lipos as warm as possible before the flight.

Don't know those motors. Sorry.

Be sure props are balanced. Be sure lipos are balanced.

Be sure props are on correctly.

Ultra aggressive gains on naza will lessen flight times a bit.

Flying manual will let you know if something is wrong. You should be well under 50% throttle with that weight.

Motor kV is kind of high for the best flight time. Props seem a bit large for the kV too. If the motors are "over propped" more energy is needed to turn them, reducing flight time. If flying hard and fast flight time will tank. Lots of GPS slaved flight also reduces flight time. Listen to Tombrown about manual and mid stick. Other altitude hold flight modes hide percentage of power hover requirements and make it appear as mid stick.
