Flashing lights suggestions required for poor eyesight.

By the time your add an RC receiver controlled on/off switch..... see below, you might not need as long a set of wire leads at least for the landing lights.

And for those that want to save another 50 cents and/or shipping costs and love the smell of melting/vaporizing lead..... you can use one of these....

OK my lights came today and seem to work well.
Couple of problems maybe someone can help me out with..

First off, I didnt realise the cables were only 30cm, nowhere near long enough so I need to get extensions.
Im forever buying cables these days, and just wondering if anyone knows in the UK where I can purchase a crimping tool to make my own length JST cables and servo cables?

Also can anyone explain how to setup the landing light when the retractable legs drop, is there channel mixing or something, I am using a Futaba receiver.
I am sure I will get there in the end, but any help would be appreciated.

Tell err in doors that you have to test fly it and cycle the lipos or it could set the tree alight..... In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king...

Shes got it on the tree, green and red flashing lights, with the odd white strobe!
Bloomin expensive Xmas lights.
(The reason why I have an office, parcels can get delivered to it without anyone ever knowing)
Never mind all the comments, help me out here someone :)

i put mine on the legs front and back works well

Hmm that may be a good option, although I seem to have much bigger lights than you as mine are all the same size, as the landing light and would never fit their.
I take my legs off every day though, and disconnecting stuff each time might be a bit of a pain.
Do you have yours connected into a Rx switch is on your landing legs, used for your camera setup or something?

No idea what a fi-li-fi (but ill probably want one later on :) (Its a tracker right)

If anyone is interested in making their own cables/connectors then this site seems pretty good in the UK

And this site is USA seems REALLY good, especially the PDF they made explaining everything

Where is the receiver that you plug the braincube into?

sorry for the late reply Quinton. I plug the Braincube controller into my flight receiver which is under the dome. Here's a video of my lights and tx set up

Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.
Your red/green lights are indeed much thinner than mine, but your landing light seems to be bigger, I take it you just opened the holes a bit more for them to fit through easily.
Love the Jeti Tx, If I was starting again it would prob me my choice as I think telemetry is really important.

Yes I have the flight lights v5.0 standard set of lights http://braincube-aero.com/ they were the only ones they had when I ordered mine. Yes i opened the holes in the legs a bit and added a washer, the lens cap fits nice and the balsa housing is superglued to the inside of the legs.
The Jeti DS16 is without a doubt an awesome transmitter and imo worth every penny, it was actually snowing on my home screen the other day :)
