First Flight Problems! Help!

I just completed my DJI F550 with a NAZA Lite and GPS, but I'm having trouble getting it stable. I've done all my calibrations, I've gone through the NAZA Lite Assistant, I've set up my transmitter (Futaba T8JH).

This is what happens (sorry for the quality):

This occurs in Manual, GPS Atti, and Atti modes. I'm wondering if it is a center of gravity issue, but I don't think that's the issue. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Are all your propellers on the correct way round? Motors turning the right way as per the DJI manual? Urmm, that should be a start. Orientation settings correct in on the assistant?

Also, for your first test flights try to keep the nose pointing forward, so when it spun out the first time turn back the correct way and try again because if it did lift off you'd have the whole orientation thing to content with. Just a friendly pointer.

Motor and propellers are mounted/turning in the correct directions. As far as orientation, before the video started, I had it oriented away from me. It actually spun around like that prior to starting the video. Also, FWIW, I have a ton of time with several quads and some fixed wing experience.

The biggest problem is simply that it immediately starts yawing and rolling when I power it up. I'm kind of a newb at soldering so could it be poor solder joints where the ESCs connect to the power distribution board? (There seems to be plenty of power to the motors though, so I thinking that isn't the issue)

Also, are there any good troubleshooting resources for the NAZA Lite out there?

You can look at any of the NAZA resources, not just the specific lite ones. They all are basically the same thing IMO.

I would check the assistant side of things a bit more such as orientation of the MC and that the stick commands move the correct way.

It certainly seems that the yaw is not holding from your video.

Hope you sort it mate! Didn't mean to sound like I was teaching you the obvious. It's hard to tell what level people are at with a forum post.

I will go back through the assistant and see what comes up. I'm hopeful that it's just easy something that I missed. And no worries on the teaching - without a doubt, it's user error. I'm not a complete newb to flying, but definitely to building and troubleshooting!

Have the hex facing the same way as you.
You work around the hex aint clockwise
Remove the props and tape the thread of the motor so you can see it spinning easier.
Motor 1 arm to the right front should be aint clockwise
Motor 2 clockwise
Motor 3 aint clockwise and so on
Im not sure if thats your problem or not but the flip over is most properly due to props on up side down.

So funny story: I had motor 2 in the motor 1 spot on the naza, motor 3 in the number 2 spot and so on.

Fixed that and it fixed everything!!

If we all listed the silly mistakes we've made, and make, there'd have to be another forum, to hold all the posts! Sometimes the fun part is sorting it all out. At least you weren't super fast to blame Naza. Now to get the camera mounted, maybe some goggles, on and on............
