I've watched a few videos on builds and different people have built them in different ways.

Generally are folks on here having the front with the bottom board widest part going forwards and backwards. In the Gary Travis build he has the other way. Only difference it realy makes it where you place your red and white arms and the position of the NAZA controller.

I like the idea of having the red arms at the back, with the 450 and 550.

Im not to good at flying nose in so I like to be able to at any time rotate the red arms to face me, then all is alright/correct orientation.

If it is a naza build , put the Naza mcu right in the centre of the bottom plate , Motor connections always face the front .
Put the plates so you have the widest part front to back and then you can mount the VU/ Bec on the back left of the plate and receiver next to it on the rear.
This will leave the front part free to mount a gopro .
Arms are down to personal preference really , most prefer red at front but a lot prefer them at the back so its really upto the individual to decide what is best for them .

To neaten the job up , get some red tie wraps and white ones .

Thanks Geoff. Its one of yours I'm building :)

Spent an our this morning try to fine a shop that sells 2mm hex heads so I could fit the motors to the arms, allen keys are to short.

I have a DX8 and AR800 receiver so had to trim the tabs of the connectors that come in the box. Also what Aux should I connect the Naza to on the AR8000
