ESC's

Who knows if this is the right place to post this? I've searched and can't find what I'm looking for.
I've read you are not to mix/match your motors on a quad. Does this also hold true to ESC's? I have 3 10a Hobbywing brushless ESC's mixed with 1 10a Turnigy Plus. All have been calibrated and I have read where both are made by the same company but I just haven't read anything about mix/matching ESC's. What's the rule of thumb on this?

Unless you are 100% positive that they both have the exact same components, and firmware/software, no. Even if they are made by the same company, components can change from one model to the next. Just remember Murphy's law, don't invite trouble.

Thank you, very good advice.
Tom, it was one of your posts that I read about mix/matching the motors. I'm sure the subject about ESC's has been brought up before, I just can't find it......while at work with the boss watching.
