ESCs turn on when TX turned off ??

I Just finished programming my new Hobbywing FF40 a ESCs. With each one separately plugged into my Receivers throttle channel to calibrate and do programming, when I finished each one I accidently shut off my transmitter first and the motor fired up to about 50% throttle?? When all connected to Naza everything is fine. Im just a little worried I have done something wrong. Thanks for your help.

It sounds like the failsafe is set to provide that amount of throttle when the RX loses signal.

Thanks Steve. I do believe your right. My only hesitation ( or lack of knowledge) is that although I did have my receiver/ transmitter failsafe set to about 40 % throttle,9 for Multi-rotor) I have done a straight rebound of my receiver 2 or 3 times on the bench for my ESC calibration. Would the failsafe binding not have gotten overridden?
