I use the one with BEC and it works fine. No compatibility issues and they arm fine.

Could you confirm that the 40A-Pro (i assume it's the one you use ) is an Opto ESC and have in built BEC? User manual is confusing as are some
descriptions on various sites...
thanks,
Alain

The 40a platinum pro (blue colour) that I use have a BEC installed. For the hoverfly pro I have removed all of the red wires except one to the board. I haven't cut them but have taken them out of the servo plug and heat shrinked them in case I ever need them again!

Ok ... and this is an Opto ?

I'm not sure but can you get an opto esc with BEC? My understanding is that the opto does not transmit power to the receiver and an it would therefore require its own power source, so a BEC integrated into an opto esc would be redundant? The platinum esc that I have used does provide power to the receiver which would suggest it isn't an opto.

Really i don't know and it's why i was asking. The opto device is used for controle signal transmission to the motor so may be it's possible to have an opto with integrated BEC , but as said before , for the Hobbywing, the manual and the list of features of the 40A don't say exactly the same things...
