You got the flamin software installed OK? I am stuggling. grrrrr wondoz does my head in!

Hi B.. Its just getting the flamin software on my laptop.. I ant a windows guy.. been on Macs since Mr Jobs first sold the one out of his garage back in 1986!
Geoff at QChas helped but I cant seem to get the driver installed so shut it down before it went out of the windowz!
I reboot my computer and myself before giving it another go!..

Im also i mac guy. Couldn't deal the having vmware or parallels running in the back ground and got a little EEPC thingi with Windows 7 starter on it for the MK stuff at first now WKM.
It worked from beginning on for me. Maybe check the RCgroups thread the main one on WKM DJI. Several guys had some issue. Driver 32 64 bit version etc.

I am running bootcamp and EVERYTHING windoz works on it.. all my work calc software, programming software and all really obscure windows based analytic stuff never had a problem.. I think I did not have the correct unstuffer for the driver but now I have it so I just un-installed everything and will startagain in the morning..

I am also a Mac person, did you by chance, unpack the file from within OSX and then move it to the Windows bootcamp partition ?
In the past I have found that OSX does not seem to unpack some RAR files correctly ! So I use WINRAR whilst within Windows.
My WKM arrived today, but I must confess I installed it on a Windows 7 64bit Laptop
If you still have an issue tomorrow, I have a Mac Mini running Bootcamp with Windows XP SP3
and an Imac running VMWare Fusion and Windows 7 32bit, I am happy to try an install on one
of my machines for comparision.

Mine worked fine, I use an Acer netbook 64 bit, works a treat.
Head out tomorrow and buy yourself a windows Netbook. Then you don't have to worry about drivers, and you also have something to tweek the settings when you're out flying

I use VirtualBox from Oracle, works without a hiccup and its free. No need to reboot.

@ Gunter.. after twelve months of the MR addiction I have to try and curb my spending!.... I wiont be able to buy a round of beer if I go buy a Doz machine! I have XP SP2 on my mac laptop and everything works just dandy but.. the DJI driver install.
SO this is what happens.. With NOTHING else running (well not that I know of) I plug in the WKM to the USB, windows tryes to install the driver so I lick cancel. I then open the 32bit folder that I have unpacked with winRAR which I have saved to my desktop. The WKM is powered up and I get a message saying the new hardware may not work properly in one of those stupid bubbles! So I know the system is seeing the DJI.. So I open the folder and there is a file and a folder called source. I open the source folder and click on the DJI innovations driver insataller.. The installer windo opens up and I click on the next button. I then get a screen saying driver not installer and in brackets..... AHHHHHHHH what a knob.. hang on........

Why would you not want to click the installer!? I just went back and read the distructions again and it says click on the BAT file... BAT FILE? It means batch file which is in the first level of the folder!
Done.. It on and I have a connection to the WooKong.... Now boys and girls who are setting up today

Ha ha, I had the same problem Dave, I went through device manager, properties and clicked install driver from there, it is a headache at first though, looking forward to seeing how your test flight went.

Yo JT was down in Brentwood this week.. grrr hate it but escaped north last night.. Hows the sun shining down there?
I am just going to have a bacon butty...with HP, meditate for an hour then go flying.... ! Its perfect weather upt north, sunny with a nice light breeze..
I have some serious tuning to do today. on both my MK ADX3'sand my new WMK so guess Ill be there for a while!

I've been up for ages, as per my other post
ESC's are tuned in, transmitter works, WKM works, all I need now are my boom clamps otherwise she would be flying. I'm almost too scared to make that initial flight, so much work and you never know if it will all go pear shaped!

Good test today coz its windy but not to bad.. I just first put her up in manual mode.... blimy she dont half go so start off with ATTi as manual is a bit of a handful.. It took a bit of time dialling in the mode switch but eventually sorted with some input from Geoff at Quadcopters.co.uk..
Tried her with one 2200mah 3 cell to start with but she was way twitchy on the stock settings.. put a second battery on and its calmed things down a bit.. Now I guess its time to go read RTryders threads and start tuning the settings..
