The loss value will depend on the condition of the battery but with my 3S batteries in good condition I’ve set the First Level Protection at: No Load 11.1 Loss 0.3 Loaded 10.8
Second Level Protection at: No Load 10.9 Loss 0.3 Loaded 10.6

The loss value is supposed to be the difference between the voltage under load and unloaded (no or little power being drawn from the battery) and .1 v per cell is the accepted value for fairly fresh batteries. I checked that with the telemetry module that came with my Dx8. Sure enough, the difference between the indicated voltage in flight and when I set it down and throttled down was .3 v.

The manual also gives a method of calculating line loss but it sure seems tedious to do it very often.

I keep a flight log and include the maH I put back into each battery. It doesn't take long to figure flight times to get you really close to 80%. I now find myself relying on the timer in the TX more than anything.

I did read the manual rtfm lol but brain was not gear at the time. I do have the telemetrics module jus wondering now how people connect these direct to the batterie or via something else. More reading I guess...

If you have the Spektrum telemetry module it came with a two wire lead that you just solder to either the main battery pads (+ / - ) or any of the power take off pads. Some have advised not to attach leads other than the ESCs to those takeoff pads but I use them for very low draw things like this with no problem and LEDS with no problem.

Plug the lead into the temp/volt slot on the telemetry module and plug the telemetry module into the bind/data slot on the receiver and you're good to go.

Yes, the TM1000 data shows on the main screen of the TX. When hooked up, you just scroll one click to the right and get the data. Scroll one more click and it's even more data.
