Hi

I am looking for some tips regarding gain settings and fail safe settings for my upgraded 550:

DJI F550 with arm extensions and 2814 motors from Aerial Media pros with 11x5 carbon props
Opto 30A escs.
Wookong M
GohteliRC brushless gimbal
HDMI converter/Lawmate 2.4Ghz/1000mw
Sony NEX5-n with 18-55mm
Futuba transmitter (Futuba 8FG super)
Flightmax 4S 8000mah battery

TOTAL TAKE OFF WEIGHT IS 4.35 KG'S!

My WKM gains settings before upgrade: 175/175/135/135 and atti 80/80.
Flew very smooth for my videowork when the machine was under 4kgs. With 2216 900kv tiger motors and graupner 10x5 props.

I also read somewhere that the 550 with 2814 motors hovers at 40%. So the recommended setup for fail safe in the Futuba which is 39%, might cause it not to be able to land when in fail safe mode.

Any advice is appreciated. thanks

I think I have mine at 250/250/150/160 and atti 80/80. Mine hovers at 50%, always has, even with the Avroto's and 11's.

Kilby - you have pretty high gains. Aerial Media Pros conversion kit product page recommends 120/120/150/150 and atti 120/120.

But I have read somewhere that you should increase your gains if you install bigger motors. So would guess your 250/250/150/160 and atti 80/80 should work fine for smooth video work...

But the Aerial Media pros gain settings seems far off...

Guess I have too try different gain settings and take it from there :)
