DJI F-550 motor surging/revving help!

Hello,


I have a DJI F-550 NAZA w/GPS and AG600 Gimbal. This hex worked flawlessly with the stock motors, just a bit underpowered. Gains were 180 180 140 180 100 100. I am using a Spektrum DX8 radio w/ telemetry, a 4s 5000mah battery w/ full fpv gear and 9 x 5 Xoar balanced props. I upgraded my stock DJI motors with Aerial Media Pros motor upgrade with arm extensions. Gains now 140 140 120 140 120 120. Now here is were I need your help. My hex is surging/motor revving, while in flight, it did not do this behavior with the stock motors. I checked and double checked all connections, bullet connectors and switched wires around. Could this be my NAZA craping out? or what?

It's the plastic arms. Replace them with aluminum ones and your surging problem will be fixed. The plastic can't handle the torque of the motors especially if you're loaded down/heavy.
