DJI A2 Power Source

Hey guys,
I´m kinda hoping that there are some geniuses in this forum who can help me out.
OK, so we are building a large hex with 12s motors and ESCs.
We plan to use DJI A2 so I need any suggestions to power the flight controller.
I have seen in many discussions, and on DJI website, that there are "add on modules" (see pic),
I wrote to DJI support asking about these modules. This was their POLITE reply:-
"Thank you for contacting DJI Technical Support.
The maximum input of the A2 PMU is 6S.
If you are working with a higher voltage, you will need to utilize a (third party) step-down voltage regulator."
No mention of what their web page (or Wiki page) says. Also not really an answer to my question.
Anyway I have been looking for a DC-DC voltage step down (44v > 22v) and I keep coming up empty.
Any of you guys dealt with this problem and can put me on the right track?

I use these all the time. Even to run the 12V LED's from a 6S system.
The dial on the top you turn down and "tune" your output. I then glue the screw shut and shrinkwrap the whole thing.
They can take up to 60V. And you can find them in many different vendors.

I have one with 3 years worth of use no issues.
