Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Every morning I wake up, let the dogs out to do their business, pour a cup of coffee and then spend however much time it takes to delete spammers and their spammy posts. To the maximum extent possible I try to delete or ban spammers so they won't be able to post and so we won't have their accounts registered as users at the site.

I've added another level of protection to the site this morning, new members to the site will have to make two posts to the site before they'll be able to change their profile information, avatars, etc. The reason for this is that profile posts aren't subject to spam prevention measures where new posts and new threads are. So while spammers only get a few posts through our controls each day they get many more profile posts and other profile changes through the system undetected. After that it's my job to track them down and manually delete or ban them each day.

It gets old after a while and I've been doing it every day for the last five years along with help from our faithful moderators.

If your'e a new member please take a minute to introduce yourself in the New Members Introductions sub-forum, that'll count as one post. Then go find something cool or useful and compliment one of your newly acquired fellow members, let them know that you appreciate the information they've shared or that they've done a nice job with something. A small compliment goes a long way to keeping everyone civil and friendly, even when we've got outside influences like the FAA mucking things up! (not that I mean the FAA any disrespect in saying that!)

OK?

I hope everyone's enjoying the holiday season wherever they are in the world!

Use to experience that a lot on another forum. It's a massive waste of time having to cull threads of people that just want to play silly games on the internet.
