Hi There,

I have been looking at these gimbals for a while really like the idea of the flexibility.

I have just got a S800 EVO and need to get a gimbal for it..I use the 5DMk3 for regular video work but want to get my head around the carrying capacity will weigh the EVO tonight and see where we are..but your thoughts would be much appreciated.

I see Zenmuse GH3 are available at Kopterworks ( but think its a conversion kit) but just don't know / cant wait until they release one for the 5D...

TAke care

I talked to the guys at Relentless who make the defy gimbals and they are multi rotor guys as well. They will custom make you a gimbal. Octofilms uses their G2 gimbal and they love it.

Take care

I am waiting to talk to Drew with Relentless tomorrow to see if he recommends a G5 or G2 gimbal for my S800 EVO with GH3. I am leaning towards the G2 but the G5 allows for more flexibility and is close to the same weight as the DJI Zenmuse Z15.

Holy crap that sucks, do you have a link to the thread? Disregard I found the post regarding your crash. It doesn't give me much confidence, it is one of the reasons why I am considering going with the US based company Relentless for my gimbal as opposed to DJI. Local support and people that will actually respond to my issues will be awesome.

I would lean towards G2...The weight may be an issue I believe for G5...as you will be tempted to put a bigger DSLR / Lens on it..The Evo without the gimbal but inc. batteries & basic electronics is 6 kgs..so does not leave much for the camera lens / gimbal.
