Damaged A2 Antenna

Can anyone tell me if the antenna on an A2 FC is cut, as per the photo, if this will effect things?

Agreed. The business end is the bit that's been cut off. The other antenna will still work though.

mk, with those wire antennae the part that receives the signal is only the last inch or two, where the wire is bare. the rest of the wire is there just to get the antenna part away from the receiver for proper positioning.

like the others have said, the one wire being damaged will affect performance of the receiver.

Ah not good news then. I've since found out the other antenna is damaged, just before the bend, I've bared back the inner wires on both and re soldered the ends on. Will that work? Not done a test flight yet as it's been pouring today.

If the A2 is like the DR16 reciever, or the phantom 2s then it uses a standard U.FL connector inside. I damaged the antennas on my DR16, got a kit like this and use the rubber antennas. There are many versions with different lengths of antennas
