The only one that Ross supplies is driven via the RX so will be limited to the voltage from the RX 5v.. you would have to fire a relay with it if you want to use 12v LED's

If its just for lighting up the inside of the CX look at his 5/6v superlites.. Not sure why you need all them LED's in there it seems a bit of a wasite of power IMHO.. Just a couple of the 5/6v superlights would do an admirable job

sometimes just all about the fun. They are removed fast if necessary :) It not like I need a quad thats all about performance

hmm strage knocking noises from the motors on all four. Never had that probably the ESCs or their settings, or is it normal ?

hmm with 3x 1.6 4s lipos on and still messy cabling i am at 1.746 kg, little much for my taste, but thats the compromise for all the s..t inside

Boris, I had exactly the same noise with my arducopter esc's. I have since changed to hobbywing and the noise is gone!

Boris, I never tested them, but it seemed to fly okay. Really not sure why it was making the noise though.

Gunter.

okay i will just fly them and see if i notice some wierdness etc.

Do we know anything if the GPS module has to be mounted perfectly horizonal level ? Its only indicated that the red arrow has to point forward. Would a slant of lets say 10 degrees massively influence the compass ?

i cant see a slight slant making any difference really, I have mounted antenna on top of the lid and no need to cut holes .. the cable will fit where the canopy sits over the legs .
I also put copper tape on the inside of the lid and cold boot time was less than 2 mins.

Thanks !, okay i am going to stick with the slight slant also dont think its a prob. I wonder if the little module on the GPS cable has any other purpose than splitting the or hubbing the canbus signal. I would really like to get rid of it.

Took it up today for the first tests two small 1800 mahs 4s and i am getting a strong drift backwards. Bird is leveling out and i drifts back.

TX is configured correctly.
Mount IMU is correct.
Gains are okay steady go in the air as long as i manually trim it.

Any ideas what else it could be ? Shouldnt it be working against this drift by its own ?

Could it be the gps not being flat? Is there a sensor in there, or are they all in the imu?

Hmm i was pretty sure its only the compass and the GPS unit itself in the. I am going to calibrate it again and see what happens.

It could be that a calibration before you pick up the bird to turn it, he takes the gyro values a being level and since i had only one lipo in it on the front side the bird was slanted forward.

Have you done the calibration where you get the flashing blue light? Also, when it sits on the landing gear on the table, are the booms level?

BorisS

okay i am embarrassed which calibration with the flashing blue light ? :) I only know the compass calibration with the steady blue at the beginning than green etc.
