Control Switch Ergos

I'm setting up an JR XP8103 for multicopter use and one modification will be to replace the two Aux2 and Aux3 (Channels 7 and 8, respectively) potentiometers with 3-position toggle switches so that these two channels can be used for setting the Flight Mode and the IOC.

Give that this is a typical Mode 2 Tx, and will also be set up with the Flap Knob (Ch 6, on the front right of the Tx) controlling the Pitch of the camera mount, and the Gear switch (Ch 5, on the outside left) will control the camera shutter. The Aux2 3-pos switch will be on the top right of the Tx and the Aux3 3-pos switch will be on the top left of the Tx.

Ergonomically, should there be any preference to have the Flight Mode (GPS/Atti/Manual) or the IOC (Home Lock/Course Lock/Off) set on the right or left or left or right switches?

I would have thought it's purely down to personal preference.

I have IOC on the right and Flight mode on the left with my gimbal pitch control also on the right. Works well for me but perhaps that's because I don't use/intend to use IOC that much.

I think it is simply a matter of preference, too. I'm still in the process completing the build and setting up the transmitter so I don't even have a preference yet.

We'll see how it turns out...
