I just want the rules to change where THERMAL can be used on a drone.. That would assist in so many calls. Lost or missing endangered adults or children, Burglary/Robbery suspects hiding in the woods, etc.... I know my mind is a lot more open than the FAA Rules are going to be, so I need to wait to see what the changes are and how much leniency they give,,

Did I miss something? I haven't heard anything about thermal being disallowed...

Maybe he meant for nighttime operations. I would like to think LE could easily get waivers for stuff like that.
