BMPCC Now half price

B&H has them for half price, too. I looked at this for a remote zoom HD camera. Saw way too much feedback about it being hard to use.

Blackmagic Design (www.blackmagicdesign.com) is offering a “Summer Special” discount for its Pocket Cinema Camera. Normally priced at $995, the camera is now available for $495, through August 31st.

Wow that is some price, will be interesting come September to see what their BMPCC MK2 has to offer.
Just goes to show you, cameras are 2 a penny, (they only last 1-2 years max) invest in lenses!

Quinton you are right. I bought a BMPCC but already had the lenses from my Panasonic AF100. The BMPCC has paid for itself many times over and is a very useful tool for many things. This new price makes running a proper Zenmuse a cheaper prospect.

In all honesty, the Zenmuse is like a camera, it'll last a year or two, buy a Movi M5, its a bit like buying a lens.
It may seem expensive at the time, but just think you can run a BMPCC, 5D, you can even run a Canon C100 on it, and guess what you can use whatever lens you like, imagine that.
That's not all, you can actually detach it from your MR within 10 secs flat and use it hand held, and all that for just twice the price of a Zenmuse.. makes you think what you should be spending your money on?
