Hi
Can anyone tell me wether you can take the BMFA A cert using a multi rotor or does it have to be a heli?

Thanks
Chris.

At present it seems the question part of the A cert if geared around helis only....my local examiner had never seen a MR until I took mine octo out last week!!!!

That doesn't very promising! as I only have a micro coax heli & I know thats not allowed for the test, so as I understand things without at least an A cert I cannot fly unsupervised at any local club site is there another way to solve this problem?

They say the rotary test can be done with any collective or fixed pitch heli, I guess you could class an MR as a fixed pitch heli.
You may have to fly it in manual though.

You can fly unsupervised at any location...except public gatherings!
