Best SD card for a GoPro?

Hello,

I am thinking of buying a GoPro to replace my key chain camera and was reading about how you want to use a Class 4 or Class 6, name brand SD card, in order to get the best possible video quality.

Is this true? It actually goes against any type of logic I can think of by not using a faster class 10.

Which are the best SD cards to use? does it really matter?

That's what I would think too. But there are many threads on the rcgroups mentioning the better quality of Class4s and Class6s. How can that be?

I know gopro didn't recommend class 10 cards for the HDhero1, I think the hd2 can take them.

A lot of it is to do with the card manufacturer, 2 class 10 cards from different makers give different results! I normally stick with sandisk myself.

I was thinking that Kingston and Patriot should be good too. What do you guys think?

Also, Class 10 then?

I have Sandisk, happy enough, but never compared to anything else, I probably wouldnt be anle to tell the difference anyway!
